Clinical & Professional Consultation
Offering consultation for mental health professionals seeking a collaborative, nonjudgmental space to explore complex cases, strengthen clinical reasoning, expand their therapeutic skills, and navigate the practical realities of building and sustaining a private practice.
OR
Clinical work is complex, and even the most experienced therapists encounter cases that invite us to slow down, reconsider our understanding, and explore new possibilities.
Whether you're newer to the field or an experienced clinician looking for a fresh perspective, consultation offers room to ask questions, explore uncertainty, and deepen your work.
Consultation can focus on collaborative case exploration, clinical skill development, private practice support, or a combination of these areas.
Collaborative Case Exploration
Sometimes the next step isn't another intervention, but developing a clearer understanding of what's happening.
Together, we can explore clinical patterns, consider competing formulations, identify maintaining processes, and develop thoughtful treatment directions.
This may include:
-
Complex case conceptualization and differential diagnosis
-
Clinical stuck points and treatment-interfering patterns
-
Treatment planning, pacing, and sequencing
-
Therapeutic relationships, boundaries, and clinician responses
-
Integrating different therapeutic perspectives
Clinical Skill Development
Opportunities to expand your knowledge and strengthen your ability to apply therapeutic approaches in practice. Depending on your interests and experience, we may explore intervention rationale, review clinical literature, discuss adaptations, or practice specific therapeutic skills. The goal is to develop greater confidence and competence in knowing when, why, and how to use interventions.
Private Practice Development & Sustainability
Building and maintaining a private practice involves both clinical expertise and navigating business decisions, administrative responsibilities, professional boundaries, and the ongoing challenge of creating a sustainable workload.
I offer consultation for therapists considering solo private practice, transitioning from agency or group settings, or looking to refine an existing practice.
Together, we can explore practice setup, administrative workflows, policies, caseload management, professional boundaries, and the practical decisions involved in independent practice. Particular attention is given to developing a practice that reflects your values, supports financial and operational sustainability, and allows room for life outside of work.
Areas of Clinical Focus
-
OCD & Rumination
Exploring obsessive doubt, mental compulsions, inferential confusion, and avoidance through ERP, ACT, and I-CBT. Particular attention is given to the intersection of OCD with trauma, attachment, and perfectionism, including differential assessment, maintaining processes, and thoughtful treatment adaptations.
-
Trauma, Attachment & EMDR
Understanding how developmental trauma, attachment experiences, and protective adaptations shape current functioning. Consultation may explore complex trauma, dissociation, relational patterns, EMDR case conceptualization, and decisions around treatment readiness, pacing, stabilization, and processing.
-
Neurodivergence & Individual Differences
Developing neurodiversity-affirming formulations that consider ADHD, autism, executive functioning, and sensory and emotional experiences. Exploring how neurodevelopmental differences intersect with trauma, OCD, and learned coping patterns while adapting interventions to individual needs.
-
OCPD, Perfectionism & Overcontrol
Exploring rigid expectations, excessive responsibility, self-criticism, emotional inhibition, and rule-governed behavior. Understanding how temperament, developmental experiences, and relational learning contribute to these patterns, while supporting greater flexibility and meaningful change.
-
Assessment & Integrative Case Conceptualization
Looking beyond diagnostic labels while maintaining careful assessment and differential diagnosis. Exploring how cognitive, behavioral, emotional, developmental, and relational processes intersect, reinforce one another, and inform treatment priorities.
-
Treatment Integration & Clinical Decision-Making
Moving beyond rigid protocol application without abandoning evidence-based principles. Exploring when to adapt interventions, how to pace treatment, and how to balance client autonomy, therapeutic connection, and clinical effectiveness.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that thoughtful, effective therapy requires both clinical skill and genuine human connection.

Credentials and Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington, and an EMDR Certified Therapist via EMDRIA.
My experience includes work across different clinical settings, levels of care, and operating an independent private practice. I bring both clinical knowledge and practical experience to consultation, with an emphasis on thoughtful decision-making, professional growth, and sustainable practice.
Whether you're navigating a challenging case, expanding your therapeutic skills, preparing to launch a private practice, or looking for a collaborative space to deepen your work, I'd be glad to connect.
A Collaborative, Nonjudgmental Approach
Clinicians deserve spaces where they can ask questions, acknowledge uncertainty, and explore their work without feeling evaluated or diminished. I draw from EMDR, ERP, ACT, I-CBT, DBT-informed interventions, schema-informed approaches, and parts-oriented work, while recognizing that no single model explains every client's experience.
My clinical work focuses on OCD and related disorders, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, neurodivergence, and complex patterns involving perfectionism, overcontrol, and relational learning. I value thoughtful integration of evidence-informed approaches, ongoing learning, and clinical curiosity. Consultation is not about having all the answers, but developing the knowledge, flexibility, and confidence to approach clinical work with greater intention.
